When I saw the little ceramic owls from Oriental Trading, I knew they were the winner for this year's Valentine's Day party idea!

I'm always game for a giggle, and puns are my jam, so Owls + Valentine's Day = A super cute "Owl Ya Need Is Love" Valentine's Day party!  :)

I don't know about where you live, but here in Williamsburg, "paint parties" are all the rage.

I thought it would be fun to incorporate that trend into our theme and make it a painting party.

I created an adorable little invite featuring the cute little creatures that would be the stars of our show.  The pops of turquoise and blue added a fun twist to the traditional red, white, and pink color palette.

Oriental Trading carries Crayola's washable paint line (hooray for easy clean-up), which was perfect for our party!

They also carry paint brush sets that include a variety of sizes, which really came in handy when trying to paint in the crevices.  :)

To keep the kids' clothes clean, I ordered plain white aprons, and designed a matching iron-on decal so that the aprons would match our theme.

Bonus? The aprons make great party favors!

My niece is super artsy...she loves to draw and paint.  Watching her mix the colors to create her own shades, and seeing how creative she was when making patterns and designs on her owl was really very cool!  :)

I created some cute little Owl Valentine's Day tags, and attached them to bags from Oriental Trading for the kiddos to put their owls in to take home.

This "pom-pommed" balloon says it all...we just loved this Valentine's Day Party idea!  

P. S. I told the kids that the "bumps" on the balloons were cooties because it kissed somebody for Valentine's Day.  ;)
