Hey y'all!!! The most spooktacular time of year is upon us, and I'm crazy excited! It's so much fun to come up with cool costume ideas and creative ways to celebrate!
This year we're trying something new for Halloween...Trunk or Treating!
The Trunk or Treat trend has taken Halloween by storm, and folks are goin' all out decorating their cars for the kiddos to come trick-or-treating.
Coming up with unique ways to decorate can be a challenge, so I've partnered up with some of my gal pals and Oriental Trading to bring you some fantastic Trunk or Treat decorating ideas that will inspire you!

Halloween at our house is typically on the scary side. We set up graveyards in our front yard, hang skeletons from the trees, and set up the fog machines.
This year I thought it would be fun to switch things up and do something a little more on the cute side.
I have a "No Tricks, Just Treats" Halloween invitation in the shop and really love it, so I thought that might be a fun theme to use for our Trunk or Treat.
A theme full of sweets and treats? Count me in!
Fun, bright colors were on tap for this theme, and we showcased them with a festive balloon garland. Oriental Trading has a huge variety of balloons to choose from, and I fell in love with the polka dot ones. So cool!
I used a tension rod and some clip rings to hang the "No Tricks, Just Treats" poster that I designed, and that served as the focal point for our Trunk or Treat.
Inside the car I also displayed some colorfully painted pumpkins and little ice cream favor containers. I wanted to mimic the Halloween invitation, so I made little witch hats for the ice cream cones. They were super cute!!!
A few spiders here and there lent to the Halloween vibe.
Since cotton candy was on the invite, I knew I wanted to incorporate it into our setup. I mean, it is the ultimate sweet treat!
I reached out to my friend Lauren of The Cotton Candy Confectionery, because she makes the best cotton candy around, y'all! (You might remember her pretty puffs from our Unicorn Party here).
I found some wooden bases and spools at JoAnn, jazzed them up with some paint and paper, and glued them together to create some fun little DIY cotton candy stands.
They turned out pretty sweet, don't ya think?
An adorable "Treat Yo'Self" sign is fun for the trick-or-treaters, and looked super cute alongside all of our sweets.
I absolutely love the Jack-o-lantern gumballs from Oriental Trading, and they were perfectly showcased in clear favor boxes. Our little "treat for you" Halloween favor tags were just the right finishing touch.
Rounding out the sweets selection on the Halloween bar cart was a Donut Tree.
Our local donut shop, Emily's Donuts, made us a batch of donuts to match our party colors. We strung them on the tree for a fun display.
One or two might have made their way into my belly instead of on the tree, but that's beside the point...
Last but not least, it isn't a Trunk or Treat without Halloween candy...and we had lots of it! Sidenote: How gorgeous is that marbled bowl I scored at Target?!!!
For kiddos with allergies, we filled little candy corn containers from Oriental Trading with allergy-friendly treats.
"Eye want candy" straw flags seemed appropriate for the eyeball lollipops we had on hand, and were so very cute!
Our brightly painted pumpkins were the perfect finishing touches for our Trunk or Treat, don't ya think?
