Oh. My. Goodness! If my babies were littles again, this is the birthday party I would throw them for their first birthday. Y'all, I can't even begin to tell you how in love I am with this Winter ONEderland Polar Bear Party. It just may be my new favorite!
Brace yourselves, you're about to witness one of the cutest first birthday parties ever!!!
It all started with this adorable little polar bear invitation that I designed. I fell kinda in love with that cuddly little dude right from the beginning.
I knew that little man had to be the star of the show, so I reached out to the oh-so fabulous Mel of Say Anything Bakery to see if she'd be willing to cookie my guy. I'm pretty sure I squealed out loud when she said yes, and I darn near fainted when the cookies arrived in the mail. Guys, pictures don't even do these cookies justice...Mel's talent is insane!!! How perfect do those cookies look on that fabulous Confection Deception cake?!!
The knitted scarf that the bear is wearing really captured my heart, so I wanted to carry the yarn element throughout the party.
Oriental Trading had little styrofoam balls that I wrapped in yarn to make a cute and cozy bunting for the party table. I absolutely love the way it turned out, but I'll be honest...it wasn't a quick project! This is a good thing to work on while you're watching TV or something, not when you have a big to-do list to get through. Just saying. ;)
Their wooden trees were perfect for wrapping with yarn, and added such pretty depth and texture to the table.
Snow covered branches and birch logs from Hobby Lobby lent to the "outdoorsy" vibe, and mounds of balloon "snow" drifting up against the table were the perfect touch!
Oriental Trading sells a really pretty terrarium with a wooden pedestal , and I thought it would be cool to turn it into a snow globe for the party. I sent Mel the measurements, and she created a polar bear cookie to showcase inside.
I wrapped the pedestal with some glittery birch paper that I found at the craft store, placed the polar bear inside the terrarium, and voila! The most adorable cookie snow globe that I ever did see!!! I mean, y'all....is this not the cutest?!!!
I filled them with little polar bear toys, and wrapped the lids in yarn so that they'd tie in with the rest of the decor.
The little snowflake favor boxes from Oriental Trading couldn't have been more perfect, and were great for tucking marshmallows inside.
These Sugarfina sugar cookie candies reminded me of snowballs {and are really yummy}, so they got added to our favor list, too!
I hope you love this party as much as I do, and I hope it inspires you to recreate something similar for your little. Be sure to tag me on social media if you do...I love, love, LOVE seeing what you all create!
Big hugs to ya!
